BETS IN: Wilder/Fury 2 ends in controversial stoppage

I'm listening to Steve Bunce, John Fury, David Haye, Paulie, Wilder and Tyson Fury all talk and...it's just too hard to tell who takes it.

Tyson Fury looks like crap. Period. I don't see an improved weight, he looked scared at points, he sounded like he was trying to sell himself. BUT he looked like crap in the first fight yet basically pulled minimum 10-9 performances for 10 of the 12 rounds, even the two he got dropped. On the flip side, that Fury started camp later? You mean like Ruiz? Because that's not good.

Wilder was calm, cool and collected the whole time. And he specifically told you what he plans to do - which is what he did against Ortiz. In the first fight he was patient but also had points of windmilling. Which I don't see this time around especially if Fury goes to him. But then hearing him basically dismiss the lineal championship, saying he doesn't need to get any better, etc...every fighter can improve. Overconfidence.

John Fury is obviously selling for family but he makes a VERY good point: if Fury was able to get up in the 12th round, a round when he should have been gassed and tired, either means Fury is tough as hell or Wilder lost power. And Wilder is 35 while Tyson Fury is 31. That age gap has got to play into this somehow. (even though neither guy looks their age)

Paulie makes a good point and one I've made before: Fury negated the jab which negated Wilder's ability to set up the right hand, but Wilder has never been able to work that on the backfoot. Which supports what I said that an aggressive opponent beats Wilder.

David Haye...well...he's not wrong, but I don't know, him sparring with Wilder might be influencing his judgment. "Wilder punches so hard he'll never be in a 50/50 fight" - yeah.

But the wildcards are the damn same. WHICH F'n Fury shows up on fight night? How does the cut play in, or does it? How does Wilder's hand or elbow injury play in? How does Wilder being at the "perfect" weight play in? How does Fury's extra weight play in? Will the new trainer be effective for him like it was initially for Bradley and Algieri? What's the ref do in the situation? Too many damn wildcards to call it.

If I'm going with my gut...Fury pressures and walks down Wilder, possibly drops him once, banks rounds, but gets controversially stopped somewhere around Round 11, possibly off the cut OR (I really hope not) his corner stopping it. Shades of the Gerald Washington stoppage, maybe.

IF that happens, and that's a big IF, there won't be a third fight. Fury will go into depression and quit the business.

Kenny Bayless as the ref. Now I'm definitely going with my gut.

If that happens it would be a train wreck. 2 hyped fights, 15 months and basically nothing solved. This one needs to be decisive either way.

Remember, we technically got nothing solved with Canelo/GGG either. And who was the ref for the second fight?

I do believe it was Kenny Bayless.

After what Fury did last time the ref better give him the full count if he goes down.

It's Kenny Bayless. Even if he does give him a 9 or whatever count...

            Khan/Garcia outcome
