The timing of it makes me believe it's fake. He get's booted from SNAC and suddenly picks up an injury? My guess is he's turned up out of shape and won't be ready for the fight.

Reminds me of when Fury pulled out of the Klitschko rematch claiming injury but then we found out later that he had his license suspended just before.

I’m saying he realizes a fight before the Canelo trilogy in September puts him at risk of being over worked and I know his mandatory is a bum but still anything is a risk of him looking bad and fans not feeling the trilogy. Like I said he’s gonna end up vacationing 160 because let’s face it Canelo will probably ask for the fight @168. Unless he totally wants to Aside Golovkin and make him fight at 160. By then I believe Canelo will be fit enough to return to 160

If he fights srezemeta in june and still takes the canelo fight in september for the money, i’d bet hard on a canelo stoppage. Also i don’t think he’ll object to 168. 160 is probably getting damn hard for him at 38

Interesting story for sure...possible that if Canelo-GGG 3 is being ironed out now...that GGG wants more of a tune-up at 168 before that fight...more details will follow shortly I bet.

GGG moves when Canelo moves, this tells me now that GGG has been informed that Canelo is fighting next at 168, and wouldn’t be coming back down to 160. So am expecting GGG to vacate his 160 belt and fight at 168 from now onwards.

I would love that personally...better business for him at 168 and more opportunity...we will see how it goes
