at this point in Golo's career, i have to say yes. Had Saul fought him last year like he should have, then no. Waiting out a guy to age is a b!tchmove, plain and simple.

I think SD would give Canelo just as many problems as he gave GGG...my 2 cents

I think Canelo would destroy anyone who tried to "play patty cake" all night.

Both fights were extremely close so it's safe to say that "GGG the jabber" did more than play patty cake.

Derevyanchenko fought the fight of his life so I don't fault Golovkin too much. Derev would have been a tough out for anyone that night because he fought like a man possessed. Let's see if he can reach that level again.

DC is short for deryvianchenko you know the guy that put a beating on ggg.
and as far as Canelo aging out GGG your dead wrong. Just cuzz gggs clock is ticking dosnt mean anybody has to fight you. GGGs is a clown that played it safe in the ametures and took too long to come into his prime as a pro. Then when he’s 35 all the sudden everybody’s gotta fight you cuz your clock is ticking? I don’t think so homie! Canelo fought him when he ggg finally decided to sign the contract. Had Golovkin been worried about age then he could have accepted the fight 2 years before it actually happened

I think his next fight will give a good indication of where he's at.

You have a long track record by your posts as a huge Canelo lover and GGG hater so want to start a thread saying he is just a tuneup for Canelo and have those who think like you jumping in to agree. The betting places set odds in advance on big fights that have a good chanc to happen. They are good at this because they do it for a living. They just set the odds on what they see and not by which boxer they are a fan of. They have already set odds on Canelo's three most likely fights to happen on May 2nd which is Canelo vs Callum Smith, GGG or BJS. Canelo is a -189 favorite to beat GGG which means you must bet $189 on Canelo to win $100 if Canelo wins. He is a bigger - 227 to beat Callum Smith and a very big-345 to beat BJS. So the pros think GGG is Canelo's closest hardest fight. Smith is his 2nd closest fight and BJS is a huge underdog or as you put it the tuneup fight. Most of us know it is almost certain that Canelo fights BJS in May. If you think I made this up do your own search on odds on future boxing. If anyone is interested Loma is a -270 to beat Tank. Fury is a slight favorite to beat either Wilder or AJ. AJ is a slight favorite to beat Wilder. Pacquiao is a -1400 to beat Conor and Brook is a -170 to beat Khan.
