None of these fighters are even on a level to command such a high purse, they are just trying to rinse Canelo/Dazn, inflating there own worth because it's a Canelo fight, even though they would be still getting a career high payday, and the chance to beat Canelo. Saunders and Smith have been all Mouth about getting the fight, now it turns out they are just solely money hungry, to the point of pricing themselves out, no doubt being offered their highest payday.

Canelo fought his way into being a cash cow.

Saunders and Smith haven't earned what they are asking for.

No doubt he proved himself but simple fact is he was being groomed to be the next cash cow of the sport before he even fought Floyd.. or at least he was one of several guys that was being looked at by Vegas and the WBC.

The sport is weighted in favour of some guys, man, that's just the way it is. That's not to take anything away from Canelo - he did what he needed to to take advantage of the opportunities that were laid out before him and proved that he's an elite fighter but let's not pretend that earning power or opprtunities in boxing are in any way 'fair'... everyone is just grabbing what they can using whatever leverage they can and if that means holding out knowing that the Cash Cow gotta fight someone then so be it.

These dudes didn't make up the rules, man, and at the end of the day their market value is precisely as much as they can get... ain't got nothing to do with what they proved or who they fought but on how much Canelo or GBP thinks they need 'em.
