I can’t think of one reason why they couldn’t claim that.

The experts disagree with you Eddie! Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury are being honored by having the historic 'RING' HW title at stake, why has Joshua failed to convince boxing writers that he is the true HW champion?

Eddie out here hatin again lmao. When you lose to a 25-1 underdog you can't claim number 1 over a guy who beat either the #1 or #2 fighter in the division

Ring Magazine has Anthony Joshua #3. Transnational Boxing Rankings has Anthony Joshua #3. ESPN has Anthony Joshua #2.

Eddie Hearn is Anthony Joshua's promoter. It's his job to argue in Anthony Joshua's favor and make claims that he knows aren't true in order to influence public opinion.

A 22 foot ring in Diarrhea is all I need to know about AJ. He's #4 behind Ruiz, in a fair fight we saw what happened.

Claims that aren't true? It's called an opinion. Until one of the beats Joshua then they can't definitively say they're above him. Ruiz was #1 in the rankings and Joshua beat him.

If it's an opinion, why can't someone who has one belt say they are #1 over someone who has three belts?

Eddie Hearn has a burning hatred for Deontay wilder and has for years because wilder refuses to be controled by Hearn and fight on dazn so hearn can get access to those black American boxing fans as well as his roll tide fan base. Eddie Hearn is and always will be obsessed with wilder and that really says a lot about how Hearn sees himself and his sense of entitlement

                      Read Hearns quote.

“He was the No 1. He lost his belts, he won them back, he’s still the No 1. I can see the argument that one of those guys might be the No 1. But no one, hand on heart, can say they are they No 1 until they have met Joshua. That will establish who the No 1 is."

He's saying they can argue they might be #1 (opinion)
