That really sucks that they did that.I think Saunders is the weakest 168 pound champion but he is a champion and should be up there with the other champions. That little fast talking guy also talked like Fury vs Wilder was for the heavyweight title and AJ didn't even matter.

Every network decides which titles they will recognize. Fox chooses to only recognize the big three.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the history of the sanctioning bodies, but TV networks have always been able to change which belts are recognized.

I've lurked as a guest for a long time. That guy that hated the WBO seemed like a bit of a ****, so I thought it would be funny to make a name with the WBO when i finally signed up.

The IBF was legitimized by Larry Holmes.

The WBO was legitimized by multiple fighters throughout multiple weight classes who turned out to be the best champion... and Oscar De La Hoya deciding to fight for that title.

If you want to argue that the networks legitimized the WBO, that’s fine. But they’ve never been able to undo a title’s legitimacy. And that’s not going to change because pbc or fox or whoever is throwing a hissy fit.
