Eddie Hearns: “Tyson Fury has been having trouble in his training camp”

Eddie Hearns has revealed that he’s heard strong rumours that Fury’s training camp has gone terrible. Hearns predicts wilder win by knockout.

Interesting, Hearns is a man in the know he’s on the inside in boxing.

    Here’s what Eddie Hearns said:

I like Eddie, but he's so biased sometimes it's laughable. When Tyson Fury wins a fight on the back foot, he calls it the most boring thing ever. But when Joshua goes all track and field against the Pizza boy it's a masterclass.

The only hints that something might be off in camp have come from Fury himself. At least from what I’ve seen so far. And if you want to believe any of that then alrighty.

How about a source? Where did Eddie say this? When? To whom?

Total hosecrap from Hearn as usual

Wilder had a cold at the start of his camp

Fury had a cold about a week or two ago

Both lost 7 days of prime training for their camp, but both have peaked as planned at the right time and are in great shape ready to fight.

Wilder will weigh in at 220 & Fury 265 their ideal weights

Both have niggling injuries that is common for ALL boxers and can be managed without issue (elbow joints for both mainly)

Physical issues are not a problem here, this fight is about skill and mental ability.

Eddie is usually very honest. He’s said numerous times that fury is very gifted but just not as entertaining - and to be quite frank the numbers absolute back that up. If Joshua fights like he did against ruiz2 every fight then clearly his fan base will reduce too.

That doesn’t mean it wasn’t a masterclass, the way Joshua best Ruiz and the way fury beat Klitschko is to be admired because in both cases many thought they couldn’t do it.

As for fury’s camp I have seen a number of eddies interviews and not seen any mention of this, but he wouldn’t know anyway. He’s busy doing matchroom stuff anyway but even if he wasn’t why would he know about Tyson?

All I care about is that he's actually in a training camp at all, which he is. If he loses, it won't be because of camp, it will be because of Deontay Wilder.
