Tonight I saw a fighter who has not improved whatsoever in the last 5 to 10 fights. He still moves back in a straight line. His feet are still slow to respond when he's being attacked. His head is still straight up in the air. The first halfway decent journeymen he faces is going to walk him down and pick him apart and Oscar knows it. That's why Ryan is still fighting the caliber of fighters most pros face in their first ten fights in his 20th match. At this point in Fernando Vargas' career he had fought Yory Boy Campas, Raul Marquez, Winky Wright, Ike Quartey, Ross Thompson and Felix F'ning Trinidad.
