Ortiz was a smaller guy brought into lose against Berto and scored an upset. So Mayweather was able to justify fighting a loser who didn’t deserve to fight him.

That was the formula for a lot of Mayweather fights.

Does GBP promote Canelo Alvarez in this era of boxing purses?

      Yes.

So they need to pay up.

Dude is getting his cut. 4-5 millions which is more than ten times his normal pay check. That’s way more than reasonable and a great offer and opportunity.

In your opinion what does that nobody deserve then?

I think $15 million would be fair. Definitely more than 10.

Josh didn’t even offer boxers who’re contenders and aren’t draws that type of ****ty money. Why’s Canelo getting a pass? I’m a Canelo fan but this has to stop. Offer the man what he’s worth and he’ll fight you in Tijuana.
I dont even think GBP pays opponents out of their own pocket..

This is what iam talking about right here . What happened to beat the man if u are confident . Dazn ****ed this **** up with these unsustainable rediculous offers that are literally 3-4 times what they should be . Atleast golden boy is keeping it realistic . Callum smith isnt worth more than that, intact he should be happy with 2-3 million . But eddie will pay him more than that so hes freezing himself out of the biggest fight he could ever possibly get and he looked like **** against a decent fighter last go out .

Because tightwad liar never says what the dollar amount of his low ball offers are. Oscar just says he made an amazing, amazing offer. If Jacobs gets 15 million to fight Canelo and Khan gets 13 million to fight Canelo then Callum Smith should get a hell of a lot more than 4 million. No wonder he turned it down. Oscar will probably offer Saunders much more money for the fight he wanted all along.

Jacobs got $12 million and he had two losses on his record.
