  • Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn on Josh Warrington: Unifications Are Absolute Priority

Eddie Hearn has expressed his joy and delight at teaming back up with Josh Warrington. The Matchroom head honcho recently rekindled his relationship with the IBF featherweight world champion after he split with Frank Warren. Warrington left Hearn in pursuit of bigger opportunities, having won the British, Commonwealth and European titles as well as a plethora of ranking baubles with various sanctioning bodies.

Santa Cruz might be enough to burst the Warrington bubble much earlier than people think.

Here comes the Hearn B.S. I knew it was too good to be true. He talks like Warrington wants to fight softies in America. How did that work out for AJ?

Some guys are ridiculous. Do you want promoters to sign big fighters and try and make the unification style fights? Or would you prefer them to stay in their own country and fight nobody’s?

Shakur said he'd go to Leeds last month. Arum said he'd gladly work with Hearn, but Eddy is on about everything and everybody else. The first big international fight that gets proposed, and Josh runs to Hearn, criying about not getting the fights he wants. The fight was already there to be made before Hearn got involved, but we know Hearn doesn't get his boys beat. This fight just got unmade.

Stop spouting rubbish and go watch the real interviews. They very clearly said they want to unify in the next fight. A back up option was to rematch mid Galahad - but that was more likely to be after a unification had happened

Well, at least according to hearn, we've only got about 2 weeks to wait and see what fight actually gets made!

Since when does Hearn sign a guy and put him in deep off the bat? He needs to squeeze some cash out of Josh first. I'll admit I'm wrong if Josh's next fight is Shakur.
