I think hating on a guy with shallow reasons tells more about you than anything else.

If you think he's just a manufactured hype job, then how do you explain the fact that he beat Jacobs, Derevyanchenko and went competitive with Canelo? Don't you think a hypejob is supposed to be beaten by a landslide?

That was the narrative and we didn't forget. Don't get mad at the truth

So essentially this ain't really about GGG but about the claims made by some of his fanbase?

Turns out Canelo was better than some folk thought and Golovkin was either overestimated by some or got old... so what?

GGG had to play soft to get the Canelo paydays. GGG was paid off to lose to Canelo who is the long term moneymaker. GGG would have killed Canelo if he was allowed to fight for real, like he did in sparring eight years ago. But the big money is behind Canelo and GGG is old so he had to play along with the business.

First, GGG vs Canelo 1 wasn’t a WAR. It was fight where two guys BET on the point system. ONe focused on clean effective shots, which didn’t have much output yet still landed, while the other coasted to just throw a jab and accumulate points. the DRAW was justified. If in boxing boxers were penalized by just throwing a jab the whole fight while missing 1/3 of them, Canelo would have a land slide. Because the POINT system saves GGG is fine, even if people think he beat Canelo by the point system whatever, at the end of the day, for a guy whom trains or wants to see NEW things and dynamics, Canelo all day. GGG didn’t do jack shet the first fight, and Canelo’s compubox in the first fight will forever be written. As Floyd said about GGG, “straight up and down no SFX.”

Guess what. HEre comes the second fight, and Canelo fights even better. The second time around the judges aren’t as impressed as the first and forget about the point system of lazy jabs from the first fight. In the end of their story, Canelo, being dragged into the GGG narrative, is still the better boxer. More fights to come with Canelo too. GGG bet his legacy on Canelo. Could’ve been campaigning at 168 LONG AGO. It’s his fans that don’t know shet about boxing. GGG is just another proxy for fans to have used for the ones that wanted to see Canelo lose.

I’m actually glad that Canelo stole Ward’s shine with GGG. Good things come to those whom wait. 154–168 year right...
U suck Canelo off..... Your opinion on the subject is biased asf! Most of the boxing world had GGG winning for a reason. I have no problem with Canelo getting the W in the 2nd fight. But first was 100% bullshyt to save face. Same as Wilder getting a draw vs Fury.

And we know ima Wilder fan.... But im unbiased unlike most of yall. If that wasn't GodNelo or watever tf yall be calling him lmao. 9/10 U wudnt be saying that

What did u score Canelo vs Floyd and Lara? Your answers will prove my point!!

He beat Canelo.... Then had a close fight with him. But they wanna insult him without insulting Canelo...... Makes zero sense

The first fight was a close fight, here's the average card of 2000 fans.

in comparison here's the average score of Fury-Wilder by 1500 fans.

You can't compare to two. One was a close fight the other a robbery.

That wasn't my point.... I was saying it became a draw to save face(Canelo/Wilder) and Yeah the first fight was closer than Fury/Wilder but it was a clear win fir GGG reason its still labeled a robbery. He lost but since he the star fighter.... A draw was convenient.

The 2nd fight was closer to being a draw but of course some people won't admit how close it was

What kind of strange logic is this??

1/3 missed punches out of 100% thrown punches works out to a connect percentage of 67% . For that you thinks its OK to penalize him.. You're one brick short of a load my friend.

xactly, GGG proved he can beat a single top contender, when he beat Jacobs. Beating at least a single top contender is what is expected for a titleholder.
GGG proved he earned the right to be a champ.

Definitely mediocre. That's why I was disgusted when they were comparing him to Bernard Hopkins. Smh.
