Gatorade is accepted now along with other juices. The days of just water ended about 10 yrs ago.

ahhhh, good, glad this wasn't to far into the thread as I was gonna gamble and just say it regardless. But yes, while I was unaware of any specific rule changing, I have noticed soooo many Gatorade bottles in corners over the last few yrs that it was pretty much a certainty that things are changed

The bottom line is the officials issue the bottle of water. They need to know what's in the bottle. Assuming they did not know the fight results should be canceled and Charlo's team should be disciplined.

When has someone been suspended, stripped of a belt or a fight switched to a no contest over a non-clear water bottle? Has that ever happened?

That said wtf are the officials at ringside doing if not watching for rules being broken like this one? This ideally seems like something that just gets dealt with on fight night by someone swiping that water bottle from Team Charlo & making sure the contents of the bottle get tested to insure it wasn't anything he shouldn't be using.

This long after the fight it seems like overkill to strip Charlo or make the fight a NC to me.

Actually Jermell Charlo released the VADA RESULTS himself, VADA don't have the Authority to do that...

Crazy thing is It’s plenty of pictures of fighters using opaque Sports bottles...it’s not uncommon at all. Harrison looks terrible, like an absolute clown he needs to issue a public apology to Charlo but I bet he won’t ...

So the commission knew about the non-clear bottle, it’s contents and ok’d it? Not sure what the test results are for. The issue isn’t ped’s.
