Ward has a style that you’d teach in the gym because it’s more traditional and straight forward. Hopkins had a deeper understanding of the sport that allowed him to create and build upon his own style. He was smarter, tougher, grittier. This question being posed is an insult to how great he was. Ward isn’t close.
Who was the greater boxer: WARD or B-HOP?

Ward seemed more skilled all around to me and I believe he was a clean athlete PED wise. I can't look past Hopkins crazy roid rage when Pascal asked him to do better testing either. I think Hopkins was one of the most overrated cheating racist pieces of **** to ever box. He flopped to get out of fights, fouled constantly but it was "veteran tactics" for him, and he acted more su****ious than Evan Fields and scared of needles tattooed Pacquiao combined when asked to take more stringent drug testing.Comment

Ward who I like, had too many year's of inactivity, plus he retired quite early. Have to go with Hopkins.Comment

It's curious to me how Ward of the two got labeled the headbutting nut puncher. Did y'all not watch Hopkins? He's great a stage blocking and getting dirty.
I dunno who is better, good thread I reckon.Comment
