Even if you hate PBC you should feel the emeritus thing is completely bogus and hurts the sport.

Thats the whole point.... You know as much as I do.... On this website that doesn't matter. Look at many times we had conflicting view points on the most basic common sense topics just cuz dudes wanna either defend their side or make the other side look bad!

Yeah its sad to see posters judge right and wrong based on whether or not PBC is involved. The emeritus thing completely undermines the fabric of the sport by taking away opportunities fighters earned in the ring.

Emeritus champ = giving a former-champ the right to fight the current champ when they come back to the weight or unretire.

Franchise champ = creating a new belt to help champ stay champ without fighting mandatories.

One is much worse than the other.
