Was even mentioned in my local newspaper (well, the online version as that's the present day...) which doesn't mention boxing too often. Was nice to see

HBO had a fantastic series called "Legendary Nights" (I really would recommend boxing fans to check them out in youtube)

Here is a Tyson-Douglas one from Legendary Nights

I was going to not say anything because I probably get too wound up at the average Fitzsimmons article, but this really bothered me too. Sure, Danny Williams went on to become a journeyman, but around the time he fought Tyson he was a tough contender, and he deserves more respect than that. The glibness with which Fitzsimmons dismisses perfectly worthy fighters (will never forget him referring to Shawn Porter as a “brand name jobber) speaks of someone who’s very arrogant to me, along with the way his articles have a habit of including long-winded personal soliloquies that nobody but him could possibly care about.

He's relentless.. Solid chin.. Seems to be pretty genuine in or out the ring.. Action packed fighter. I don't really care about undefeated or not.. Its about the toughness of schedule.. I think his power at 160 is solid.. I've wanted him back down there for almost two years.. He's definitely a top dog at 160.. Charlo, GGG, Eubank, and Andrade are Top dogs in the division. Question, how is Sr. Received in England? Never watched much of senior.. Other than tmnt growing up! Lol. Jk

SR is loved in England for his boxing exploits and his eccentric character.

JR, not so much. He's got the allure of someone who's done it all but hasn't got there yet. I struggle with JR sometimes i'm a fan and sometimes I find him off putting.

The second is that IF someone believes themselves unworthy of success they WILL find a way to self-destruct. Tyson didn't just "happen" to fire Kevin Rooney, get fat, abuse substances, barely train, surround himself with sycophants, blow through hundreds of millions of dollars, etc.--these were CHOICES.
That's true too. But he'd still lose fights even if he was best prepared ever

It has got old. Wow a fighter didnt train hard, underestimated an opponent and lost. Dont understand the obsession with it still.

Of course he would. Look at the any other indvidual sport. Absolute Legends, the best every players/drivers in those sports etc always lose - many times. It's because they compete against the best every time, they don't pick bums.

Though Tyson was slapped silly by Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis and eventually ended as a career-maker for tomato cans Danny Williams and Kevin McBride, those losses combined don't pack the "Holy #%^$$&!" wallop of the initial time his invincibility was stripped.
