Be a pretty silly match to fix, how much money would be getting bet on a Dave Allen 6 rounder against a journeyman he is expected to breeze through?

Bets big enough to make it worthwhile would stick out like dogs balls in statistically analysis, that being said the people who do this and get caught aren't exactly rocket surgeons, so who knows, if they are dumb enough to try this they probably arranged it over DMs or txt messages.

i like dave allen that being said...if theres ever a fight that looked fixed, its this one, alarm bells were ringing for me when the commentator was going on about how he saw them having breakfast together the morning of the fight, and the punches allen threw in the first 2 rounds were so light it was almost as if he was scared to hurt darch. However I do like seeing someone getting 1 over the bookies lol

That's exactly why its been caught. This ain't about how the fight looked. It's about betting trends. Betting trends can catch sketchy sh^t like fixed fights or other sporting events.

Randomly I'm a poker guy & other way smarter poker players than I have caught poker cheats off of win rates numerous times. The numbers can tell the story more than the action you see in front of you. Variance can go way this way or way that way but overall long term trends & a critical mass of info can provide great insight to sketchy sh^t.

It just seemed weird the way Darch folded.
Even the 2nd knocked down when he feigned he wanted to get up and then just lay down did not seem legit.

I just put it down to two bums in which one ****** more than the other and reading this it all seems to add up.
The 3rd round KO odds went from 9 to 2 to even money off of all the money bet on that particular outcome. That's sketchy as f#ck.

And to be clear that's one thing if it's one guy who bet a huge amount on it that massively changed the odds. But from the reports I read this was a big outlier of multiple ppl making the same 3rd rd KO bet for Allen that screams of something sketchy going on behind the scenes.

Just when you think UK boxing/ Eddie/ukad couldn't sink any lower.

            Truly disgusting and pathetic.

Bettng question, say you make that bet at 9 to 1 odds, then a bunch of other people **** it up and it drops down to 2 to 1 odds, do you keep the original bet on your ticket? or does yours drop too?

Exactly, I know an odds maker for an online betting company and some of the stories he has told are fascinating.

At the end of the day a couple things you just can't escape. Firstly, no one ever seems to be able to keep their mouth shut, people talk, its free money, maybe put a couple bets on yourself, get one friend to put a bet on, they let a friend know.

Apart from that, even if they are smart enough to tell no one, betting agencies have enough maths/stats boffins to see these bets a mile off, they share data between companies. If there really was a plunge of 3rd round KO like mentioned there could be problems.
