Why do people group AJ and Wilder/Fury as the same era?

AJ isn’t in Wilder & Fury’s era. He turned pro in 2013. Both Wilder and Fury turned pro in 2008.

It’s not his fault that the two bums were protected and never fought anyone in their era.

I think it depends on how you define an era. You are correct as far as when each guy turned pro, however they all started making real noise around 2015 (Fury beat Wlad that year, Wilder won the WBC title from Bermane Stiverne and Joshua got his first high-level win against Dillian Whyte to crack the top 10.

Now here we are, five years later and they are universally recognized as the three best heavyweights in the world. That qualifies as the same era to me.
