Well, although I think Russell is too small for 135, whatever the weight, 126-130-135, the challenge is there to Davis and LSC.

I like Tank but I think Gary Russell Jr can get him. He has a solid chin can fight moving forward or backward and definitely has better stamina. Would love to see that fight.

There are a lot of things to like about Russell. His skill and speed, but he's clean too. No hint of scandal or riotous living. I comment and joke on his boxing decisions, but I congratulate him for his character.

To Floyd's credit. There weren't many fast athletic Black fighters in his era. Plus fights between Blacks and Latino's has always been more lucrative. He did however fight Augustus, Judah, Corley and Cotto and they were all considered to be pretty slick boxers..

The problem for GRJ is that even though the fight would do well in the DMV, it won't do better than Tank vs. LSC! I think both LSC and GRJ are crazy if they go to 135 for Tank! They're both too small. GRJ should push the WBC to make him the mandatory for Miguel Berchelt, or see if he can get a fight with Rene Alvarado for the WBA strap!

If Davis takes this fight, and do Russell like Mayweather did Corrales, this would be the start of his career. With the way boxing is these days, no boxer with an "0" is willing to take that risk anymore.
