Rigo's lucky Al Haymon swooped up Leo when he did because Oscar De La Hoya was just about to make that fight. Guillermo dodged a bullet there because Leo would have overwhelmed him with activity. Especially at 122 where King Santa was a monster.

Leo's activity would've been sandbagged early. Just like Donaire, once LSC felt that razor sharp left straight in the 1st round, his output would've dropped big time thereafter IMO.

I don’t agree about the article, but Rigo is boring. Damn shame, too, because he’s great to watch when he opens up. If Rigo actually cared, he could’ve been one of the all-time great boxer-punchers. The Donaire fight was a good example of what might’ve been.

when they fought, i dont think rigo was any better of a fighter than donaire...
the biggest difference at that time was, donaire wanted to impress with throwing punches, putting on a show..
while rigo never cared about making entertaining fights.
he could throw 1 punch per round, and be happy to get the win

I really agree with you, i love to watch Rigo cuz of the beauty of his craft, that fight against Ceja worried and upset me.
