Povetkin may be good technically but he is old and is physically smaller than Whyte. Povetkin couldn't KO Hunter even when he caught him clean so he will struggle to KO Whyte too. In fact, he was easily manhandled by Hunter in the first few rounds. His style of fighting is quickly effected by age (similar to Haye).

Ruiz may be fat, but has faster hand speed, better chin, stamina, is younger, and weighs similar to Whyte (which may come in handy in clinching and rough fights).

Ortiz looked better based on what , Wilder who doesn’t throw many punches and gets outboxed frequently ? Hunter was aggressive and has a much better boxing pedigree then Wilder by far and Povetkin still should have won . It is much easier to look good against Wilder if it’s a boxing match and one is still standing , even Hunter gave Usyk one of his better fights , no ones had an easy fight with Hunter yet .

Whyte did send Ortiz an offer ,he declined and Parker took the fight .
