Sometimes the white guy is better, sometimes the Mexican, sometimes the black guy. It is what it is. I'm not blinded by race and just give credit where due. More should do the same.

The thread I was following when the fight happened live, and the twitter feeds I was following, seemed to be in consensus that it was either a close, even fight. Or that Charlo was ahead but it was still a close competitive fight.

Before I watched the fight, I saw that all of the judges had it 8-1!!! after 9 rounds. No one I was following, and no one on here, had it that wide after 9 rounds. I was shocked and said 'wow Sergei never had a chance.' This is obvious to anyone who has ever followed boxing in any degree.

When I watched the fight, I expected a comfortable but competitive 8-4 Charlo victory. That is not what I saw. So I scored it according to what I saw. And as these posts below show, not everyone saw that either. A lot of seemingly neutral people had it a close fight, or Dervy winning as I did.

As for any Charlo-GGG stuff, for the last few years I have given Charlo basically the same chance as I gave Jacobs vs GGG. GGG is the better, more experienced boxer, but Charlo younger and more explosive, with the possibility of hurting an aging GGG. That didn't change after seeing this fight. What I saw in this fight basically proved me right.

Charlo and GGG"s fights with Derevy showed they are now about the same level. I don't think any sane person could be them on the same level overall in their careers though lol. So yeah I'm not trying to put GGG on Charlo's level lol. He's been passed that man.

People like you (and unfortunately you have PLENTY of company) make it less appealing to even see good fights like Charlo-GGG. If I saw Charlo beat GGG, I would say it, and give him props. And move on with my life. If I really wanted to make excuses I could say GGG got old; Charlo got lucky; GGG had a bad night etc. But I wouldn't deny reality if I saw Charlo beat him.

Keep being a fan though man, do you. And you can always score the fight for your guy regardless of what happens. Some of us have high self-esteem though and respect the game and just score the fight for the better man on the night. Depends HOW he does it, if he does it. And how GGG looks in the fight, and if GGG impresses at all after the fight. If he goes 12 hard rounds with him and gets a SD win or something, then he should get some credit but I think that's what most expect the fight to be at this point - a close tough fight.
