Does anyone actually care that GRJ only fights once a year?

Don't really care. Talented fighter but has had a nothing career. 2/3 decent wins, and his one fight at world level, Loma, he lost. So wouldn't really be missing that much. If he retired tomorrow I wouldn't care at all and his career thus far is entirely forgettable.

I am not accusing him of ped use but a world champion has a responsibility to fight twice a year not once. If he is not a champion he can fight once a year or once every 4 years or whenever he wants and it is nobody's business. But champions should not freeze up their world title so no other good deserving fighter who earned a title shot can win it. So yes it does bother me that he defends his title only once a year. If a more important champion like Crawford or Loma only defended their title once a year there would be much outrage about it.

Its his health and his prerogative, its not good for marketing himself for bigger fights being so inactive but its on him.

Think he's a very good fighter who I enjoy watching and would like to see him in action more often.
