Rigo could have been an ATG.

He already is a ATG amateur but his pro career despite being a successful one has been pretty underwhelming compared to his talent level.

If Rigo would have stayed active and got to fight top level competition at his natural weight, I’m convinced he could have been an ATG fighter.

Paulie kept saying “he’s a genius” between those ropes and I tend to agree. His ring IQ, and ring generalship are absolutely phenomenal. He’s always in punching range but remains so difficult to hit, if anyone has ever boxed, they’ll understand just how difficult that is.

Even at 39 years old, Rigo still has a lot of his quality attributes, it makes me think he could and probably should have had a long and illustrious reign at 118 or 122.

To have those kind of legs and reflexes at 39, as well as that power.

People aren’t going to appreciate it though.

The masses don't appreciate fine arts. They want blood, and Rigo doesn't deliver in that regard.

The subtleties within his footwork are exceptional, it’s so precise, there’s no wasted movements or energy.

People mock what they can’t understand.

Rigo missed out on the party.

Should've been in pro game as a young man.

Fighting with the likes of Barrera, Marquez, Morales.

People talk about Rigo the same way they talk about free jazz. I'm pretty sure half the people that claim to like either are just pretending to, hoping it makes them look refined.....

Due to extented amateur career he got late start. Guys ducked him cuz he would make them look foolish nd also fought at a low weight which here in america isnt celebrated. His footwork is incredible. He can make almost any fighter look bad. Real boxingheads appreciate him.

Rigo & Loma are the two high level fighters who are always seem "in range" to get hit yet remain so elusive (yes, Loma gets hit a bit more because he is more willing to engage).

the Combination of being too good , shafted by the industry & making bad business decisions has resulted in Rigo not showing how great he actually is.

Beats the breaks off Donaire with ease who was a P4Per and instead of getting rewarded by Arum , His promoter basically sh.its on him , sets him up to fail

headlines card that was going H2H against Zab/Paulie
Had hometown boy Tapia on the undercard getting destroyed resulting in fans leaving early and fights in a snooze fest because Abeko who wouldn’t engage

gets blamed for People walking out and the low ratings by Arum and says he’s the most boring fighter ever. ( something that sticks with him from there on out ) even though he’ll go on to literally 1 punch Jazza ****ens and beat on some Japanese Giant making his face look like he was auditioning to be Sloth in a Goonies remake and have Flores quiting trying to get a NC after 1 rd

Had all the Known fighters in the division avoid him by moving up in weight & Spends the next 4-5 years being inactive and being buried on undercards in fights no ones cares about

Finally gets another crack to be in a big fight but its just Arum getting his payback because its in a weight class he doesn’t belong in and basically just there to lose and have Loma build his rep off his scalp. Has his Rep Destroyed because he quits half way
                  through

Rigos a perfect example of a career being stunted for being too good and not having the right team behind him.
