GGG was about one combination away from knocking Brook out when his corner rescued him. Spence beat him fairly by outfighting him with punches not headbutts. Quit making excuses for poor Brook. He KOed a hand picked cherry pick with one hard left jab. Good tough fighters don't get KOed by a jab. Nobody on this forum ever heard of this guy Brook just KOed. Brook doesn't have to fight a cherry pick once every 14 months. He is a big name and rated top 4 by everyone at 154. He could have already fought for a title at 154 any time in the last two years and he could get a 154 pound title shot right now if he really wanted one. He should go after a world title fight next or retire.

      Kell Brook isn't shot.

He definitely had years taken off his career by GGG though. Hindsight, he really had no business fighting him. That orbital break did a number on him. Out for a year, fights Spence, re-does his orbital. Off a year. That took its toll on him really. Avoiding that GGG fight, probably puts him in better shape against Spence. He loses that fight but not re-doing his eye socket. It'd probably had left some tread on the tires by not getting blasted by GGG in the first place. He'd have probably fought 2-3 times before Spence, lose there, fight another that same year, then we'd be where we are now but with what? 3-4 wins between that 2 L span?

Kell Brook is still a game boxer. His best fight before taking the Ls was a majority decision against Porter. In which he really came to control Porter as the fight went on.

So was Brook ever an ATG? No. So, I don't think he is shot. he's just getting back to what he always was and that's a decent boxer, capable of winning a strap. Like a James Lacy or something.

I'm going to assume your talking from memory, which is cool.
But I highly recommend a re-watch of the Spence fight as you seem to of missed some highly important things.
Brook was grasping at his eye and could barely walk in a straight line after the "collision".. It was horrific.
I'm surprised he managed until the 11th with one eye.

If the reffed missed the clash then yeah, rules say TKO... but don't pretend it didn't happen

Watch with an unbiased view from the 8th, then watch the finish... Watch the eye grasping and how he grabs it on his knee....It's all there on video along with the "headbutt" excuse in the 8th round (all on camera)

IMO not a legitimate win for Spence and the whole reason Spence said "get a belt" before any rematch

But still, you say it an "excuse"... well, it's one excuse that real time cameras from multiple angles show us all then I suppose.

I like Spence (as a boxer) but this win was not legitimate when looking at the evidence.

But if you think i was just "punches" then that's cool too and there is never harm in discussion, we are all entitled to our opinions.

And the idea of "World title next or retire" I like the idea of.

        All the best

Yeah, I agree. You can stick a fork in him because he's done. All the elites at 147 and 154 defeats him at this point. His skills have declined and he looks like a diminished fighter.

Very easily understandable and could very easily be true.

We will find out (hopefully if he doesn't retire)

Really cool response with a lot to consider, thanks man.
