He was CLEARLY one of the best defensive of all time, so have no idea what you mean there. Not being a ****, but I really think you need to go watch some tapes on him. His style might not be your cup of tea, but don't discredit him with things that are clearly not true.

When a fighter is more offensive, they are susceptible to getting ''caught''.
No one would have ever accused Pea of being offensive minded.
(How many times will Hurtado's name be mentioned)

Floyd , his defense was very efficient a work of art really w/ the shoulder roll + he could counter the hell out of you as well.Only time he really got touched was against Augustus.

I don't think "better" can be applied here. Floyd was fantastic at the lower end of weights, he had great head movement which IMO eclipsed his use of the shoulder roll. As Floyd went up and used the static variations of the shoulder roll, his technical ability was much less... Toney used the shoulder roll better than Floyd IMO... at least when Floyd fought above 135. But Floyd at his best had impeccable shoulder, head and foot movements.
Sweet Pea always had incredible feet. His head movement while not as precise as Floyd (Floyd at his best) was incredible and made him impossible to deal with. Whitaker used every piece of what was around him... He could get low, move lateral, angle, disjointed (different parts of the body at different times) etc.
Strictly speaking, Pea could do more things, Floyd at his best was a master of static movements...In other words , moving off a set position. Pea was a master of moving and using his whole body with no set position... even when he was in the pocket Sweet Pea could make it look like he was giving ground, while not giving any ground up.
Two different approaches, one characterized by the shoulder roll, weight shifts and subtle head, lateral movements... The other characterized by angles, resetting the body, remaining in motion, moving different parts of the body at different rates of speed, etc.
