Ref jumps in and stops it in the 7th with Tabugon getting pounded on the ropes. Good showing from Sandoval tonight, I was impressed with his hand speed and variety of punches. First time I'd seen him, I'll be keeping a close eye on him after this. Would like to see them step him up to someone like Juan Alejo or Ganigan Lopez next. Kid is still very young, could have a bright future

Ricardo El Nino' Sandoval celebrated his 21st birthday by making weight for his first fight of 2020. Fight night was spent delivering his most complete performance to date. The streaking flyweight prospect had his way with Philippines's Raymond Tabugon, delivering a one-sided beating en route to an 7th round stoppage Thursday evening at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.

Sandoval showed a lot of poise and composure in this fight. Given that he was involved in a wild shootout with Sustaina last year, it's nice to see him improve in that regard.

Had Nagrete winning 96-94. Thought his accuracy carried the day. On the site I usually frequent, other scorers in the RBR thread were convinced it was a robbery, but I personally didn't see it that way. Nice to see that I wasn't alone in giving it to Nagrete.

They gotta start these Thursday night cards an hour earlier. Sandoval started fighting after midnight and I just couldn't stay up to watch it.

They should just keep throwing a bunch of smaller guys on these cards. Makes for good entertainment anyway.

I like the start time as it works well for the West Coast. The issue, however, is the amount of time between fights. The Ring Report segments are cool but they show far too many in between fights and often repeat through the course of the show. Reducing the filler content could probably save at least 30 minutes per show.

Additionally all of these main cards needn't be any more than a tripleheader.
