It does hold more weight considering you’re out power punching a supposed power puncher... so if that’s not impressive. How about the fact that canelo reduced the Power puncher to a jabber? Either way you see it, it looks better for canelo then gggComment

Idk...GGG has always boxed behind the jab when needed/against better punchers...and GGG's jab is really good/strong/easy to score.
So I think the point was that 'just scoring someone's opinion of a 'power punch'' is not really how you score a fight.
You score each round, scoring who you felt landed the better more effective damaging shots of that round...if I land 3 really good jabs, and you land 3 good 'power' punches...then that is very possibly an even round at that point.
You're scoring each punch for it's effectiveness and seeing who you felt did more damage at the end of the round...that's all it is.Comment

And I mean you're basically saying that Canelo should get bonus points from you...well just because you think he should...that's not how you score fights man.Comment

According to compubox a “power punch” is every punch that isn’t a jab.
So essentially, Canelo landed more non-jabs than GGG did.
This, of course, means nothing.Comment

You here it over and over from the trainers. The jab is the most important punch in boxing. GGG has one of the best and hardest jabs in boxing. His head snapping, face smashing jab does count. Power punches count but so do stiff jabs in the mouth. GGG out landed Canelo in total punches landed in the majority of rounds in both fights and he threw and landed more punches in both fights. You are big Canelo lover and that's fine but most viewers thought GGG won both fights and that won't change because you put up a chart that only shows the power punches and leave out the jabs that GGG landed so often. Why don't you play fair and put up the total punch stats.Comment

Right. The amount of threads that keeps popping up about these fights are going to give it sum sort of undeserved “cult” status. I mean all anyone keeps proving is that the amount of polarization for these fights is the most exceptional part about them.Comment

And there you go. Read the bold.
Continued proof that people dont know what the **** they're talking about.
Oh yeah, let the narrative of the fight dictate who the winner was instead of the fight in the ring.
Yeah, Mikey Garcia didn't take an L against Spence. He got a W. Spence couldnt knock Mikey out so Mikey won.
That's your ****ing logic in a nutshell.Comment
