        I think you're right, I was sourcing that from the start of the film where they mentioned he competed at jr fw. They had one common opponent the late agapito Sanchez. I think Manny beat him by dq but mini Tyson (Guzman) tko'd him. I wonder why these two guys never mixed it up?

            I think manny would have run right thru Guzman imo . But the fight could have happened. I dont think Guzman had the cojones to hang with manny at 135 . Manny was a monster at 135 and 140 .

                  Guzman was only known to hardcore fans and he was only appreciated by about half of em. Pacquiao was destroying action fighters when Joan was a thing. Big risk, little reward. Never made sense.

                    And I think it would have been highly competitive for 6-8 rounds and then Guzman slows while Pac does not.
