Lomachenko, Canelo, and Fury are probably the best right now at slipping punches. Oddly enough they are three white dudes lol. Rigo is amazing at it but is older and inactive it's hard to tell if he still has it (that last war he purposefully had was confusing).

Well put. The punches u could once slip by a hair now become punches that land as u slow. It’s like the studies they’ve done on baseball pitches, a 96mph fastball is crazy hard to hit, but as that speed drops it becomes a pitch that is accessible to hit by so many more people. Yep, the cases of Roy and Hops are a good study in the matter.Slipping punches is a young man’s tactic. Fighter’s often resort to clinching or putting the earmuffs on as they age and their reflexes slow down. If a fighter relies too much upon reflexes and cannot adapt they start taking too many punches and too many losses. Roy Jones is a classic example of one who didn’t adapt. There are exceptions, where seasoned boxers can anticipate an opponents punch and slip it, but those are few and far between.Comment
