Mr Golovkin was a champion in the same division as Mr Cotto. Mr Golovkin was the mandatory Challenger for Mr Cotto. Mr Cotto stuttered and stammered when asked about fighting Mr Golovkin. Mr Cotto agreed to pay Mr Golovkin a sum of money, in order for Mr Golovkin to not enforce his status as mandatory Challenger, so that Mr Cotto could fight someone other than Mr Golovkin. Mr Cotto failed to pay the sanctioning fee prior to the fight with someone other than Mr Golovkin, so that in the event of him winning the fight with someone other than Mr Golovkin, he would not further be obligated to fight Mr Golovkin.
Are those, or are those not, the facts of the case?

I don’t see anyone mentioning the fact that Ward turned into a grappling, dirty fighter to hide his glass chin. You don’t go to those extremes without first admitting you have a problem. He knew his limitations and didn’t want the fight regardless of whether GGG’s camp did. Couldn’t retire quick enough.
