I made a thread about that back then. That was not classy on Cotto's part.

Also he told everyone that would listen that he would only defend his newly won 160 pound title with catchweights at sub 60 pounds, effectively cutting out Danny Jacobs and other big Middleweights.

Also pretty sure it was Abel Sanchez not GGG who said 154-168.

Then people can't actually name anyone worth GGGs time who he could fight at 154-168 during that time because literally no one wanted to fight him INCLUDING Canelo.

Yes, including that Canelo, who camped out GGG from 2014-2017 at 155lbs because the guy couldnt make the Junior MW limit.

OP and the fangirls are welcome to answer these questions in full.

Are you Canelo fangirls so ****** they take things literal? For example anyone from 154-168? You believe that means anyone?

Then, if you do believe literally why is Canelo ducking everyone from 160-175 instead if fighting the best?

Why do you believe GGG is ducking Andrade and Charlo when it was Canelo who was in the same division as them for years but didnt fight them?

Did you know Andrade and Charlo didnt become world title holders at MW until the GGG fought Jacobs/Canelo? And if so, how could he have ducked them?

Did you know that cotto/canelo is worth more than Andrade/Charlo/Ward or anyone else he ducked?

If so how is it a duck?
Cotto at 154. Canelo at 155. Ward at 168. They were all worth his time. He was clear he wouldn't concede weight to the good ones. Chavez and Froch were OK at the full 168, but Ward had to be 164. Floyd at 154 OK, but Canelo at 155 is a NO. Revisionism isn't cool.

I really don't care much about weights within 10 to 20 pounds between fighters. That's what we are seeing now anyway. I don't follow the belt orgs' weight classifications. Hurd should be fighting at lightheavy.

Even now, if the top fighters are within 20 pounds, I'm cool with it. This is fighting, boxing, machismo. Can't be too soft if you are a boxing fan (not talking about you).

As I've asked before, if the demand of 164 was an indication that Golovkin and his team didn't actually want the fight, wouldn't Cotto's and Canelo's demand of anything around 155 be just the same? Cotto was willing to fight Sergio at 159 and Geale at 157 and Canelo could miraculously jump to 164.5 for Chavez but 160 was asking for too much?

explain how Wards style would have got him knocked out by Golovkin?

Golovkin vs Ward: Who Is Ducking Who?

I’ve no doubt that Golovkin, the fighter, would step in the ring with anyone, anytime. His team, however, have to be more scrupulous in their management, and they simply preferred to hold out for a lower-risk, financially more rewarding fight against either Miguel Cotto or Canelo Alvarez. That is hardly a crime, but even granting that it was a sensible long-term business move on their part, it still runs contrary to their prior eagerness to “fight the best from 154 to 168”. Whatever you think of Golovkin the fighter, there is a serious mismatch here between his team’s words and their deeds, whereas judging Ward by his upcoming test next weekend, the reverse is true.

theres an intersection of one month

Please don't call me a liar. Lets reexamine the record.

                      When was Golovkin a non-champion?
This is the part where you're about to be impeached with your own testimony...

Here, we have established that Golovkin achieved champion status in 2014. Therefore the intersection is substantially more than one month.

And this is to satisfy YOUR silly presumption that champion status is required for a Cotto fight.

Let me ask. What belt did Canelo being to the party to avoid being "put in the queue" as you put it?
