Cheapest ticket for Wilder vs Fury 2 is $466

I was thinking of going to the Wilder vs Fury 2 fight at the MGM but the cheapest ticket on stub hub was $466 without taxes and fees. Would've been a fun event but I won't pay that much. Would anyone here pay that much?

I saw the ticket prices when they originally came available. They ain't going to sell a lot at those prices. I guess they have to try, then when they don't sell drastically reduce the ticket prices.

No i wouldnt and i also wouldnt pay $80 to watch it on TV. I guess tickets wont initially sell well and the price will keep dropping over the next couple of weeks. Thats what happened in Wilders last fight when they realized it wasnt selling well. I know its common in any fight but in the last Wilder fight they dropped big time. Even bums living in boxes in alleys got tickets. Thats how cheap they ended up.

Shoulda took this to the UK. Yes the American market is bigger, its the biggest in the world, but when will people realize it isnt coming out and paying to watch Wilder. Ortiz 2 bombed, Wilders worth has its place in the sport and his handlers are stretching too far pretending he is on a higher shelf than he really is.

Wilders fans may scoff at that and remind me that he is the PBC highest paid fighter right now or something like that. Yeah rumour is he got paid 20 million for his last fight. The whole event did not make 20 million. Like i said they are stretching too far, that is not his shelf.

For $20 you can see it on a big screen at the movie theater.

Those are Floyd Mayweather ticket and PPV prices.

But neither Deontay Wilder nor Tyson Fury are Floyd Mayweather.

I remember doing this with Margarito vs Cotto 2. Went to the Mandalay Bay day of and they had tickets dropped down to $50

No-one is. But this is the biggest fight in the biggest division. 2 undefeated heavies with a controversial draw behind them. Both pretty charismatic. Both having a claim to being a champion (of sorts). Number 1 and 2 in the rankings.

Yet feels very low key in comparison to even Joshua Ruiz 2. And certainly compared to the big fights in recent years in the lower weights.

What's the feeling in the US? Are casuals talking about it?

Just do what you said you did for the Margarito-Cotto fight. By fight week these tickets will be 75-80% reduced from what they are now.
