JR high school and even if it was HS that’d be like me proclaiming that because I played HS varsity BB and excelled I’d school the best pro on the court. GTFO here Bob. Crawford would get smashed in an MMA match with McGregor. And Crawford would eventually smash McGregor in a boxing match. FFS I grow weary of cross over *****. To summarize, Crawford would have his arm snapped by McGregor and it’d be fast.

I'm not arguing Crawford's wrestling would bail him out or that I'd favor him against Conor in the cage. Based on what I know about McGregor (less than Crawford), I thought the general consensus is striking is his forte and stronger than his wrestling/grappling. So between that, Crawford being an alleged wrestling prodigy way back when and supposedly still frequently training for recreation (read that somewhere), doesn't seem inconceivable his wrestling in isolation may edge out Conor's. Not wild about the crossover stuff either though, complete agreement on that.

People forget that if you are in the UFC you have proved that you are one of the best in the world, even if Crawford happens to be decent at wrestling, there's no way he is gonna be competitive against one of the best MMA fighters in the world. Also maybe McGregor doesn't have great ground game but it is quite decent for his style and way ahead of anything Crawford has seen, striking and grappling for MMA is way different from regular striking and grappling.

No way. He started his career at 130 lb, moved up to 140 where he stayed for quite sometime then moved to 147. He is NOT putting on another 23 lbs to 170 for an MMA match to KO an MMA fighter who happens to be one of the best MMA fighters. Not happening....Crawford isn’t moving to 170 and KOing any LHW champion in boxing either. He is 32 and 5’8” and his power would translate to maybe one more division but not 4 weight classes
