Nobody in the world punches harder than a boxer. Give Crawford a few months of takedown defense and blocking leg kicks and I think he'd be competitive in the octagon. I'd love to see that type of crossover, to he honest. No interest in MMA guys in the ring.

To summarize, Crawford would have his arm snapped by McGregor and it’d be fast.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 02-01-2020, 05:10 AM.

Crawford wouldn’t knock out a LHW in boxing today if he moved up to 170. That is WW in MMA. He is 32 and on a 5’8” frame I don’t see it happening. In addition, at 170 Connor is a legit 170 professional MMA fighter. Yes he started at 18 and yes his foundation is boxing. But after more than a decade in MMA he has knees, legs, elbows and based on the last fight broke Cowboy’s nose with his shoulder of all things.
No he doesn’t have the greatest ground SUBMIT game but he has been in the ground plenty and defended himself against some of the greatest grapplers in the pro game today. Couple that with what I stated earlier that Crawford isn’t KOing a 170 pound professional in MMA then I don’t see in any way a win. However in boxing he’d eventually tire McGregor out and I could see an exhaustion KO like Floyd did when McGregor quite frankly couldn’t hold up his hands to defend himself any longer.

I can see his power translating to another weight division. However to reach McGregor’s weight division he’d have to move up 4 more boxing equivalent weight divisions to 170. I dont in any way see 1) Crawford ever fighting at 170 2) translating KO power to 170.
