hearns whole offer is a publicity stunt.....hearn started using that term when wilder offered Aj 50 million....that offer was real but hearn started talking about how it was a pub stunt...since that day he said that hes come up with the idea that he can do pub stunts and trick people into believing things....

yeah...well..lets put it this way...when the pbc guys go out and say "hey yeah you can call us...we have the greenlight"...the other side goes from wanting the fight to "were not interested" in a matter of two weeks

We can agree that neither Charlo nor Andrade are worth 7 million, but having outlined the dangers of "crossing the street", surely you'd agree that an overpayment is a necessity for either side?

We all know that Alvarez does what he wants and that Golovkin and DAZN are waiting on Alvarez; rightly or wrongly, it is what it is, much like when Spence couldn't get fights with Thurman et al.
If Golovkin won't fight Charlo and Charlo won't fight Canelo, then 7 million for a winnable fight is no bad deal. I understand that it's risky but I don't see either man making progress with the likes Eubank and Keeler, while the winner likely commands a higher purse from Canelo, which I'm assuming is the end goal of all this.

I'm not sure we can dismiss the offer as a publicity stunt because
a) DAZN needs signups and have shown that they are willing to pay for them
b) Eddie needs to do something with Andrade and
c) we've seen Ramirez take Hooker's belt and a fat cheque back to Top Rank, no questions asked.

Not putting the dollar amount on public display strikes me as good manners/protocol but it could well be that Hearn is a lying promoter. Either way, we agree that the offer was lucrative enough to warrant discussion so I don't think it matters greatly.

Personally, I'm reluctant to throw Charlo under the bus because it's clear that he isn't making the decisions (he doesn't help himself by claiming to be the boss but realistically, we know what it is).
For me, the decision has been made to get the belt around Charlo's waist, put him on TV and sell the idea that Canelo ducked. The problem is, the world at large simply doesn't believe that and continuing to reject risky fights is a bad look.
