Just to add. In the account your referred to Golovkin mentioned that Ward claimed to have shoulder problems and issues with his promoter during that meeting. Both the shoulder and promoter issue were in play in 2013. Like you pointed out both Ward and HBO did not dispute Golovkin's account of the meeting.

yes exactly Tony...logically it just makes sense to me that the GGG version is more or less true...to come out with that story 2 years later, I mean I just don't see how anyone would make that up.

His comfort zone was stating at the MW division trying to unify and ducking no one there. Not too bad.

He didn't want to move up or down unless it made financial sense. That's what all fighters do.

He's now not persuing a Charlo or Andrade fight, I give you that, but he's 37 now. When he was 26/35 he fought the best available.
