I think Whyte wins. He has never lost since his lost to AJ. He edged out Parker while Ruiz was edged out by Parker. In fairness to Ruiz he fought in Parker territory while Whyte fought Parker at home. Still, all things considered I pick Whyte to win. He is a little better all around fighter and is always in top shape for big fights. Ruiz clearly was not in shape for the most important fight of his career, the AJ rematch.

I think Andy accepts defeat easier so I'll go with Whyte. I think Andy has the higher potential but is less likely to achieve his best.Comment

The only reason Whyte won the Parker fight is because a headbutt was incorrectly ruled a clean knockdown.I think Whyte wins. He has never lost since his lost to AJ. Without the headbutt in that fight, it's a MD Draw.I think Whyte wins. He has never lost since his lost to AJ. He edged out Parker while Ruiz was edged out by Parker. Id edge Whyte here ,he loves dog fights and does just enough in phone booth fights . Unless he weighed over 255 I would not take Whyte , If hes around 245/250 he has very good punch counts and performs a bit better. Ruiz weight doesn't actually effect him much he wont ever be a fast footed guy ,he may want to weigh heavier for this one because it may be won in the center ring or ability to pin the other guy back more .Comment

If the ref had called it correctly, warned Whyte, and given Parker proper time to recover after the foul Parker likely wins the fight going away.
He was easily winning up until the headbutt, and when Whyte started to fade late Parker took over again.Comment

I agree with you, but I don't like playing hypotheticals and what ifs. The "second" KD likely doesn't happen either, but that's a hypothetical.
That's why it's very telling that if the fight happened 100% the way it happened, just with the appropriate calls, it would be a draw. And Whyte refuses to rematch him.Comment
