Comments Thread For: Ramirez: I'd Prefer To Go Straight To Josh Taylor After Postol Fight

Jose Ramirez has two mandatory title defenses due. Ramirez might have to make those mandated defenses of his WBC and WBO 140-pound championships in back-to-back bouts. The unbeaten, unified champion would prefer, however, to fight undefeated IBF/WBA champ Josh Taylor in his following fight if Ramirez overcomes Viktor Postol.

Now there's a man with integrity. Other champs should follow suit.

I would too, timing is everything. Taylor would only get better and if i was Ramirez i would go stright for that fight. Am just glad none of these two are with PBC, because we would NOT have seen the potential undisputed fight with that was the case.

Josh Taylor's defense could not get any worse, that for sure.

Wouldn't, at under 20 fights he can only improve. I like when boxers like him take on tougher competition early on in their careers, they could do the 30-40 bum tours. Which helps but then that would take then 10 years before stepping up.

I mean Josh Taylor is almost thirty, its not like he has time to improve, nor does it appear that hes willing to change his habit of brawling. Toprank, I'm sure have taken his age and Josh recent savage battles into consideration when evaluating his earning potential.

I'm really surprised that Taylor is actually going through with his mandatory with Thailand's Apinun Khongsong. If I were Toprank I would advise Taylor to stall, fake injury, something ; as the 'Tart-Tomato' is a KO waiting to happen and the Thai hits really hard.

Taylor is going to brawl, I just know it...hehe!

At 30 he can improve and would improve. It's not the age at this point, you improve with the number of fights and how much tough fights you have in your career. Taylor has been a pro less than most of these guys, he can do his mandatory and Ramirez can do the postol fight and they both do the undisputed fight in the summer...

I dunno why you argue with this nationalistic biggot bvm Ray.

You are not having a rational boxing talk with him, captain america is obviously salty about Prograis and Martin losses and is only trying here to discredit Taylor as a fighter.

You should put on ignore just like I did.

That's only what bvms like him deserve.

Good for Ramirez. Strike while the iron is hot, plus Taylor is still develpoing. If he waits another year Taylor will be at 147.
