Comments Thread For: Hearn Sees Saudi Arabia Beating Out UK To Secure Joshua-Fury

At least there cutting through the politics and going to the essence of the sport eg the best fighting the best.I know there doing it to bolster their country's image and using sport as a medium for that .I can still only admire the way they want the big fights and hopefully it turns Joshua's and Eddie Hearns head.Hence glory of the sport comes first then money second. But both go loosely hand in hand I feel. One without the other wont work.I remember reading a while back a football man through and through Harry Redknapp saying roughly the same eg the best players will always come to the fore.Hence ability always rises to to the top.Its nice to see the Saudis pushing this through as well albeit with plenty of money.Comment

Hearn can clout chase Fury and Wilder but bottom line is it further emphasizes this...Pulev vs Joshua is such a dud nothing can be said to hype it.
The fight is garbage and DAZN will lose yet another chance to bring in viewers. Why because Matchroom avoids the risk that comes with great compelling fights.
Wouldn’t let Hearn manage my McDonalds. And AJ better focus or find himself in Pulev rematch post knock out.Comment

It's a massive fight for boxing, and for the UK especially. It would be a shame it wasn't in England and that 80'000 UK fans couldn't attend.
But, if there's crazy money on offer for them to fight in SA, I can't blame them one bit for taking that route. Everyone would.
Anyway, there's fights to be fought and won before that one happens.Comment

Thanks
I cant see it myself though hence there wont be enough public clamour for it and the Saudis know it.Comment

So many kids talking about “the biggest british fight of all time”......ridiculous, ludicrous, ignorant. With fights like Benn v Eubank I and II, with Lewis v Bruno, Hatton v Mayweather, Turpin v Robinson, Cooper v Clay/Ali, Owen Moran, ****ell, etc etc man this forum looks like a bunch of drunken football hooligan casuals on the p*ss upComment
