I find it funny how, leading up this fight, Danny was talking about how he regained motivation for boxing, yet pulls this shit. Angel really might have lost some of his edge, because I never saw him as the kind of person who'd let his fighter get away with something like that, especially if said fighter is his son.

At the end of the day he controlled the fight and he won. He even said himself that he felt good in the fight. I don’t see what the huge deal is that he said he gained a lot of weight if that is truly the case. He didn’t feel drained. He didn’t feel tired. He didn’t feel rusty. He said all of these things. And he won. So who cares ? Not like the boxing world was waiting in anticipation for the return of the “great” Danny Garcia anyway. Especially against Ivan RedKach or whatever his name is.
Let’s see him in w another top name now that the tune up is out the way. Give us something worth watching

25lbs in 8 weeks isnt really that bad lmfao.
The normal healthy weight loss for people trying to lose weight 2lbs a week. 2lbs week @ 8 weeks put that at 16lbs
So I'm not really buying that excuse, if he even cited that as an excuse.
I think what it is ... is probably they lost weight the wrong way, just dramatic caloric deficit and train on E when that aint necessary to lose the weight, so he ends up losing muscle strength and feeling lethargic.
