It really doesn’t confirm anything because he never had to KO anyone with his left hand. His bread & butter is the right hand. Stiverne was known for a great chin until that 12 round beating he took from Wilder. He never recovered from that fight. Szplika was carried out in a stretcher & he was never the same. Wilder seems to be a one trick pony & there is no doubt about that but he has always said that his opponent must be perfect for 36 minutes & he needs to be perfect for one second. He is very patient, is always it great shape & has quick hands. I like Fury better than Wilder but over time I started liking Wilder. His fights are so intriguing because he can lose every second of a fight & them BOOM! It’s over... I’m not sure how old you are but in the 90s David Tua was very similar in regards to punching power. There were several big fights he was losing every round & then he would end the fight with one big left hook. He was the boogeyman of the 90s. Nobody was giving him a voluntary title shot. He knocked out 4 world champions including 2 of them in under a minute yet he only got 1 mandatory title shot while guys like McCline & Golota were getting 4 a piece & had several losses on their resumes. Wilder does have serious power but he is so unorthodox & sloppy that he looks very vulnerable but that is why guys get caught because they think they have him & BOOM. There isn’t anyone in the current HW landscape that is going to be able to take too many of those clean right hands. He don’t need the left hand. I think Fury is the only HW who can beat him but he too must avoid the right. I think he Breazeales Joshua. AJ is simply too easy to hit & after seeing what Ruiz did to him it is hard not to see a brutal KO coming. All the top contenders are in their late 30s & early 40s. What does that say?

Joshua changes narratives with each interview. He talks a big game KNOWING he can't fight Wilder next at the beginning of 2020 if he still has the belts he will say no 50/50 just to avoid the fight. He's smart for avoiding it he knows he will get KOed.Comment

Good points, hard to argue with most of them. Of course I remember Tua, I am almost 60 years old lol. Tua was one of my favourite fighters ever. However, Wilder is different, he is not that offensive as Tua and probably had a weaker chin.It really doesn’t confirm anything because he never had to KO anyone with his left hand. I agree that it is very hard to beat Wilder for a defensive fighter and perhaps only Fury is capable to do it by outboxing. Usyk could also but is too weak from physical point of view. Wilder can be beat by a strong very offensive fighter tho.Comment

Yeah, the right/left combo looked very weak. I've watched the entire 12 rounds several times, and there's always something su****ious after the fight. Perhaps the whole fight was scripted, who knows?People should watch these moments more carefully. Wilder's right and left were not clean and not very strong. A good chin wouldn't even have been dropped with them. Either Fury's chin is weaker than suspected or he just wanted to rest while lying on canvas.
Wilder talks rubbish as he wishes to underline and overestimate his power and his opponent while he prolly never knocked out anyone with his left hand.
That's the truth what practically noone wants to hear.Comment

Could be. The current one can be also so that there are doors to their 3rd and 4th fights.
Moreover, please look also at the first knockdown -- Fury was floored by a weak not well placed punch also.Comment

Yeah, saw that too and even more. I could go on and on but would only sound as a conspiracy theorist, and people generally downplay theories.
Well, both guys have a reason to script the fights, which is to up their profiles while they await the real big purse from a Joshua fight.
If the upcoming one is scripted too, the question is: in what way such that both guys retain their reputation? Another draw can't work, so they might make one guy withdraw mid-fight from a fake injury, the guy supposedly in the lead, which perfectly sets up a third fight.
In my time in boxing, I've seen a FEW fake fights and how easily fans forget and forgive. And I know a real fight when I see one. Boxing is becoming a joke by the day.Comment

Not a word more not a word less.
That's why I would be very happy if the three clowns make place for true warriors.Comment

Well, your wish might come to pass sooner than you expect. There are a good few heavies out there that are developing really fast. Some have been in some real good fights. Efe Ajagba, Flip Hirgovic, Daniel Dobois, Tony Yoka, and Vladyslav Sirenko; these are the guys I fancy; must have left out a few unintentionally. But I fear corruption in the ABCs, as well as promotional hiccups will ruin it all at some point.
Though guys like Michael Hunter, Usyk, and Parker won't be leaving the scene any time soon.Last edited by BoxOfficer; 01-27-2020, 11:49 AM.Comment

He can't fight Wilder because he's running in the opposite direction. The only one trying to get the fight on is AJ.Comment
