Leave GGG alone and let him feast on his cans on the way out.

If Smith vs Jacobs does happen though I hope to god the WBC does follow through with the promise of Benavidez having to fight the winner after his next fight.
Nothing wrong at all with Smith vs Jacobs. Neither looked great last time out but still two talented fighters. Just not sure what that fight really does. Will struggle to sell tickets and won't move any needles. Though I guess if Jacobs wins, then you can run the rematch with GGG at 168 for a title.

GGG going to Kazakhstan for his mandatory defense is pretty cool actually, but then what time does the fight air on DAZN? You are paying this guy 15M a fight to fight someone completely overmatched on non-prime time stateside? Now does that make much sense?

Benavidez will fight a voluntary defense next, then mandatory and then Plant. Maybe Plant after the voluntary defense. Don't see the fight you are referring to happening in 2020 or even early 2021.

WBC recently said Smith is the mandatory but Benavidez is allowed a voluntary before. Thats why I said I hope they enforce it.

What exactly does a Kazakhstan card look like anyway? Golovkin and Ali Akhmedov? GGG should swallow his pride and let Daniyar Yeleussinov on the card. DAZN definitely losing money on that one if they foot the bill for it entirely.

I thought they said Yildirim is still mandatory?

I don't know what is going on there. Maybe that is what ends up happening but wouldn't get my hopes up.

No clue? I mean they haven't even decided on doing a card there just mentioned it being a possibility. But for sure you would have to have Akhmedov on the UC. And then some other GGG promoted fighters from there.

This is why I think there is a chance they make the Smith fight at 168. Maybe DAZN is hoping at this point that GGG retires far before his deal expires and they can save some money lol.

Yeah, I think that's why he can get a voluntary next, then Yildirim and then can fight Plant next. I bet that is the plan. Don't see Smith/Jacobs winner being next for Benavidez even if that fight takes place next.

I'd love to see him move up against a title holder at 168. Smith would be a good fight assuming Smith had an off night in his last outing. I'd like to see how he performs when he doesn't have to cut weight.
