Layla McCarter calls out Cecilia Braekhus, but only fights bums

Layla McCarter has been constantly calling out Cecilia Braekhus, but look who McCarter is fighting next:
Brittany Cruz 12-12-2 (beaten 2 fighters with winning record)

And look who McCarter has fought in her previous five:
Yamila Esther Reynoso 11-8-3 (beaten 0 fighters with winning record)
Eva Bajic 14-17-0 (beaten 3 fighters with winning record, former IBF 147 champ)
Victoria Cisneros 13-20-2 (beaten 2 fighters with winning record)
Erika Jeanette Hernandez 5-5-1 (beaten 1 fighter with winning record [2-1])
Szilvia Szabados 18-17-0 (beaten 1 fighter with a winning record [3-2])

73-79-8 (9 combined wins against fighters with winning record)

    Versus Cecilia's last six opponents:
    Victoria Bustos 19-6-0 (2x IBF 135, IBF 140 champ)
Alexandra Magdziak Lopes 18-5-3 (beat 1 former world champ)
Inna Sagaydakovskaya 8-1-0 (WBC 147 interim champ, only lost to Braekhus)
Kali Reis 16-7-1 (WBC 160 champ)
Mikaela Lauren 32-6-0 (WBC 154, IBO 160 champ)
Erica Farias 26-4-0 (WBC 135, WBC 140 champ)

119-29-4 (9 Big 4, IBO, or interim world title belts)

Cecilia's opponents have as many belts as McCarter's opponents have wins against winning opposition.

Cecilia is taking on champs from 135-160, McCarter is fighting bums.

McCarter belongs in the Hall of Fame, but the fact of the matter is she hasn't fought a quality opponent since July 2016.

If she was still at lightweight I'd say she should at least fight Jelena Mrdjenovich one last time. They traded wins when she was pretty green, and one a SD over 10 years ago. Obviosuly wouldn't be as a big as a Braekhus fight, but better than beating up more bums and house mums.

Just because she can't land a huge fight doesn't mean she has to beat all these bums.

There are plenty of fighters from 140-154 to fight that have credibility:
      Cecilia Braekhus
      Katie Taylor
      Erica Farias
      Jessica McCaskill
      Mary McGee
      Christina Linardatou
      Victoria Bustos
      Eva Marie Dicaire
      Hanna Gabriel
      Chris Namus
      Mikaela Lauren
      Kali Reis
      Ogleidis Suarez
      Patricia Berghult

Hell, even another Chevelle Hallbeck fight.

We all criticized Shields for fighting Habazin, but Habazin is a killer compared to who McCarter has been fighting.

Very true yeah. I'm familiar with about 80% of those names too now thanks to the solid platform RING IQ on YouTube has been giving to women's boxing.

          Did some more digging.

          Cecilia Braekhus vs winning fighters:
          26-0-0 (36-0-0 overall)

          Layla McCarter vs winning fighters:
          25-13-5 (43-13-5 overall)

By "winning fighter" I mean the fighter has more wins than losses as of today on BoxRec. So nobody gets credit for beating a fighter who was 6-0 at the time but ended up 12-18 or something.
