The WBC is considered the most prestigious. It was founded by the most respected bodies and is essentially a merger of all of the most prestigious historical world championships. It is the continuation of the NYSAC title, which was always considered the most important. The WBC was also founded by the EBU and BBBoC, which had very long and prestigious histories, dating back to the EBU's origins as the IBU world championship in 1911.
The WBO is considered the least prestigious. It is the newest of the four bodies and wasn't considered a major world championship until recent years. The WBA had a huge bribery scandal in the late 1980s and the gentleman who was in charge of the WBA's bribery ring was blackballed by the WBA after the scandal. Having been pushed out of the WBA for operating a bribery ring, he founded the WBO. The WBO was literally founded by the person caught taking all of the bribes for the WBA.
In modern day though, even though the WBA title is more prestigious than the WBO title, the WBA definitely has the worst reputation. For decades, most fans assumed all four bodies were corrupt, but nothing has upset the public more than the WBA crowning multiple world champions in the same division. They definitely have a worse reputation than the WBO at this point, even if their title is still more important than the WBO.
The IBF has the best reputation because they are so fair and honest, having reinvented themselves after they had their own huge bribery scandal years ago. Promoters, fighters and networks all feel the IBF is the most fair. Not that everyone likes that. Obviously the stars prefer to be given special treatment. So you rarely see a star keep an IBF title for long, unless they're a unified champion, since the rotation helps them delay IBF mandatories.
