Nobody really cares about Cinco de Mayo. Not one boxer is talking about it. Real fights don't happen anymore these days. Screw the business side of boxing. I don't get any of their money.

It’s basic economics. The fight will garner far more interest in Japan, so will create more income, and DAZN will take their cut.
I don’t actually think this fight will happen though tbh.

It’s common sense, where would Canelo-Murata create more interest Japan or the US?

When last I checked GGG is not Mexican but I could be wrong. Mexican viewership is boxing and soccer, so if your athletes are in those sports you are going to tap into those streams. Afro-Americans have plenty of pride. What rock have you been hiding under? The Cinco de Mayo thing pretty much just started with FMW and everyone in boxing non-Mexican has tried to capitalize on it.
