What makes you think Davison and Ruiz would gel like Davison and Fury? Fury was a drug addict with mental illness on top of blowing up in weight. They are totally different personalities. Ruiz's problem is he is fat and lazy and just wants to party. Can't blame him but it will ruin his boxing career.

Yeah because being even fatter and not training didn't have any affect on his performance right. GTFOH."He was unable to put his punches together, he was much slower in the ring, and all of that allowed Joshua to easily reclaim his titles with a lopsided twelve round decision."
Seems like Boxing Clever never saw the fight.
Ruiz wasn't slow. Nor was he unable to put his punches together. AJ was permanently moving and Ruiz wasn't prepared for that tactics and couldn't cut the ring off. That was the problem.Comment

It helps if you actually train for a fight rather than clean out the all you can eat buffets and gain 30 lbs..."He was unable to put his punches together, he was much slower in the ring, and all of that allowed Joshua to easily reclaim his titles with a lopsided twelve round decision."

No sir, he doesn’t have more talent than Douglas. Douglas has all the talent in the world and rarely lived up to it. Ruiz wouldn’t have even been a contender in the 80s and early 90sComment

Haymon is an idiot? Really? Really? The internet never ceases to amaze me....Comment

Absolutely. Douglas had incredible talent. Douglas on his best night vs Ruiz on his would have been a mismatch.Comment

The part that is most bothersome for me is the fact that his irresponsible approach is costing Manny Robles as well, it's a business partnership when you team up with someone and Robles is not a wealthy trainer, he has a new gym and this affects him negatively,,, if you're going to burn your career and reputation it's one think,,, it's a complete dishonor to drag another down with youComment

Andy laid out the blue print how to beat AJ. Just land on that crystal skull any way possible. Running is not a blue print.Comment

Ruiz is basically satisfied with his achievements.
You can't really blame him.
He clearly lost the motivation to train and cut weight for the rematch with Joshua and its highly unlikely that he will ever be a genuine threat to the HW titles again. If he was focused and disciplined I genuinely think he would have beaten Joshua again ,but as things stand he will likely go into semi retirement and maybe comeback if he runs low on $$$.Comment
