... but in philosophy they used a funny compound word: "aletheia"...
... "truth" (in English) at least derives from *deru- also *dreu-, Proto-Indo-European root meaning "be firm, solid, steadfast," with specialized senses "wood," "tree"... (even in Romanian we have "codru": oak forest...)
(NB: just before he died, Heidegger actually gave up his "beloved" concept of aletheia... )Comment

when Ward said he didn't need approval from fans...the LDBC said ''man Ward aint even a full brother.''
I can't stand the LDBC. plaguing the internet with racism for fun while monetizing.
look at this kid for example.
in today's age the youth uses youtube for all categories in life. unfortunately, because boxing is tribal, a majority of youtube boxing from black fight fans are #LDBC. so there's a high risk of this kid being influenced to hate and yell racism just because these bozos say so while the kid has no idea they’re doing it just for monetary gain.
Dontaes Boxing Nation is the godfather in creating the legion of the LDBC. the LDBC are the post radicals from DBN. there are a ton of black fight fans on youtube whom are objective and they too get riffed by the LDBC if they don't agree with their agenda..
There are LDBC goons that embrace prison life with the vile dialogues they spew.

Well you are. Also racism is not what you guys think the dominant group oppressing a less dominant group is what it is not bigotry or trying to use pseudo bigotry in order to seek a fight like Hopkins did but I’m order to deflect people continue to use that narrative because they are of the dominant group who are actually participating or benefiting from real racism.
Hopkins works for white people promotes a ginger white guy and routinely tries/tried to block non Philadelphian black fighters he has a history of it do your math. In his own peoples circles Hopkins is considered a coon.Comment

I think you're on to something...
Sorry, but that is a reach. For one thing, Floyd isn't a high wattage bulb, not very bright. Larry's comments may have been in poor taste, but racist? I think we need something more substantial than someone's "perceived" intent. Floyd was also of the mind that when he signed a deal with HBO, that it meant all of HBO's commentators were somehow on his side and part of his extended entourage. He expected unconditional loyalty from commentators who were supposed to be non-biased. Besides, you cannot call Larry a racist based upon your example and not call Floyd a racist when he clearly crossed that line on several occasions.
I've always been luke-warm on Merchant. I think he was an ass to a lot of fighters and very condescending at times. Later in his career he seemed to mellow a bit and I actually liked his post-fight analysis.
You people are so ****** it’s funny. The fact that you actually have the nerve to talk come up here and down talk Floyd’s intelligence when he’s obviously one of the smartest highest iq fighters that the world has seen. You clowns aren’t even real boxing fans lol. You don’t even have respect for the sport to call Floyd dumb.Comment

The LDBC hate Radio Raheem. Go figure. It’s not surprising that there’s general hate from thugs vs the more civilized. Just because people CHOOSE to act civilized doesn’t make them a “c00n.” The LDBc said the same thing about Andre Ward.

Does Floyd cut you a percentage? Does Bill Gates? I’m a big Canelo fan as others but I don’t see Mexican fight fans crying victimhood since the Trump administration and saying, “Canelo is the smartest Mexican IQ boxer because of his Multi mill deal.” That would be nonsensical to say, but we all know Floyd represents the status quo for black fight fans as the plateau of riches...
Just so you guys know, Al Haymon created Floyd Mayweather Jr. It was one man pimping Floyd for is own gain. Haymon made a fortune off Floyd. It’s simply selling a product. To assume Floyd did it all own his own is premature. Haymon got the fights Floyd needed so that he too could assure his percentage, calculated, milking his cow.

Ding! As soon as I clicked the link and saw that it was Akinwande v Lewis “Oreo cookie” made all the sense in the world. I’m no Larry Merchant fan and his musings are usually awful. I saw this fight live. It was a mess. There’s commercials dating from the 80s and current ones showing black kids, white kids enjoying Oreos. It was a reference understood by anyone on the planet who has seen an Oreo. The only offence given was to the nature of the fight and even then that was blamed on Akinwande. It was three people sandwiched together all fight. I dare anyone else to come up with a better visual reference. Lane was wearing a white shirt and shows minimal skin. A black ref would still have looked liked the cream in the centre of an Oreo in that fight and the reference would still make sense. This is ridiculous. I’m assuming it’s a troll thread. Shame on me for even being here.Comment
