Klitschko did not pull back on his punches. He dropped quite a few sparring partners in camp.

The reason he and his brother stopped sparring is because their spars became so competitive that they began to hurt each other.

Wilder fans will dismiss this because again, it doesn't fit their agenda. But this is the real reason why Wilder would never fight Klitschko. If Wilder was this amazing warrior which he claims to be, then he should have been chomping at the bit to fight Klitschko in a real boxing match. But he wasn't, neither was his managers. They knew then what they know deep down now, Wilder is a protected fraud who will get exposed when/if he ever fights anyone good. And not a fake boogeyman like Ortiz, who's best win was Jennings, but a really good boxer/puncher. That's why they have matched him against the Szpilkas, the Washington's, the Arreollas of the division instead of the Povetkins, the Joshua's and the Whytes

IMHO I’m sure Shelly Finkle was just trying to keep the fight from happening for several reasons especially if you’re building at that point the relatively unknown one and milking the other well known established champion.

Wlad has been put to sleep by worst fighters with less power than Wilder as has AJ and Whyte. But this is boxing and one punch can change history especially with the heavyweights.
