Why is the WBA still considered a credible world title?

I understand that they have a strong history but they give a belt to every one and their mother. I think its time for the fans and the media to drop the WBA.

Hell, the IBO rankings look better that the WBA rankings.

Only recognize the top WBA champion. That means the Super champion if there is one, or the WBA champion if there is no Super champion.

    No Regular, Interim, Gold, etc.

Yeah people like to complain about the WBO but the WBA gives the most paper belts out of anyone. And that whole supposed attempt of weeding out the regular and interim belts was a load of SHT. the still hand them out like candy

they ahve the support of athletic commission,s promoters, venues, and fighters.

the alphabet titles allow up to 4+ fighters at once to promote their fights as "world championships."

they put butts in seats, at the tables, on the couch at home, etc.

        why?
money. lots and lots and lots of f#cking money.

those alphabets hand out rankings based on the amount of money that goes to a "charitable donation," basically into a brown bag and into the hands of the sanctioning bodies, with everybody from promoters to state athletic commissions getting a piece.

Money , money , money and yeah more fughin money
If it was that easy , we would of rid already all the alphabet soups
Maybe even one commission who would take care of boxers during and after their careers
But the problem is there’s way to much coin involved

No they aren't. There's also the TBRB, the Ring, and the IBO.

Not saying they're better, worse, different, or the same as the WBA, WBC, IBF, or WBO. But they're out there.

It is possible, you know, they do these things for the casuals, and maybe, they actually need to.

It's no secrete boxing isn't what it once was in the mainstream psyche. Maybe that's because the bodies get bodied by the hardcores and the new fans get turned away from the sport more often than indoctrinated due our toxic nature?

We should probably let the old dogs do what they got to do to survive and welcome what new fans some bull**** like a WBC-Mayan or WBA-Gold brings.
