  • Comments Thread For: Oscar Rivas Closing in On Multi-Fight Deal With Top Rank

Heavyweight contender Oscar Rivas (26-1, 18 KOs) is close to finalizing a multi-fight promotional deal with Top Rank. Rivas has been out of the ring since losing a twelve round unanimous decision to Dillian Whyte last July at the O2 Arena in London. The contest had the WBC's interim title at stake. Rivas is ok. Mid tier guy. Loss vs PED cheat Whyte should be a No Contest.

Plus Carlos Takam, Agit Kabayel, Tony Yoka and Bryant Jennings and then their prospects.

Matchroom has by far the best stable of heavyweights but Top Ranks is same level as the next level below like PBC. A Daniel Dubois co-promotion wouldn’t surprise me for top rank either

Rivas has some power but his short stature for the HW contributes to him getting outboxed at times. He was able to overcome that versus Jennings and nearly overcame it against Whyte.
